The cross symbolizes God's expression of the two directions of love in which Christiansshould walk. When challenged by a lawyer regarding the Law of God, Jesusresponded:
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God withall thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is thefirst and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thoushalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Matthew 22:37-40
Here, Jesus reveals the Father's heart regarding the two-directional loveflow: First, your love must flow vertically to God Himself. Lastly, yourlove must flow horizontally to mankind. Even in the Ten Commandments (TheMoral Law), this principle is borne out. The first fourcommandments govern your love walk with God (vertically), while the remainingsix commandments govern your love walk with mankind. While there are manybenefits to walking in love, among them is the truth that God desires to impartfavor into your life. That's right. Your love walk is one of the vehiclesGod uses to impart favor into your life.
Favor is God's divine grace upon your life. It is God's power toenable you to become what He has purposed for you to become so that you can dowhat He has purposed for you to do in life. Favor is also divineacceptance that cannot be earned. Both enablement and acceptance are importantto your prosperity. Jesus is loveitself. He lived His life on earth walking characteristically in the natureof love. Notice how that love manifested in His life:
"And Jesus increased inwisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." Luke 2:52
Samuel was a prophet of God who the Bible describes as never having one of His words fall to the ground because the Lord was with him (1 Samuel 3:19). He was a very accurate prophet, able to express the heart, mind and will of God with great precision. As you study the character and personality ofSamuel, you quickly sense that he walked in a great degree of love. Consequently, the favor of God manifested in his life to a large degree.
Now, notice how the Bible describes the favor on Samuel's life:
"And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men." 1 Samuel 2:26
Like Jesus, Samuel experienced the two-directional favor of God. I believe that,
when you walk in love, God responds with favor. When you love God with all your being, you attract favor from God. Consequently, out of your love relationship with God, you are empowered to love all of mankind. Walking in your divinely empowered love from God toward man then attracts favor from man, embracing the principle: As it is in Heaven, so it is in the earth (Matthew 6:10). Your love walk toward God is your sincere and pure worship of Him. It produces your favor in Heaven or the spirit realm. Walking in love in the earth realm manifests the heavenly deposited favor by God into your earthly life. Consequently, you attract favor from man.
Just as your out-flow of love is two-directional, so is favor because favor is a direct manifestation of the presence of the love of God in your life. Your love walk is pivotal to the manifestation of the favor of God on your life. Based upon your love walk, the favor of God increases or diminishes.
My friend, if you are having difficulty seeing God's favor manifest in your life, then closely examine your love walk. An excellent way to examine your love walk is by determining the condition and quality of your relationships. If you discover that your relationships are in need of repair, begin injecting healthy doses of respect, forgiveness, honor and loyalty into the members of your relationships. Then watch them grow. As your relationships become good and healthy, you will find the favor of God releasing to a greater quantity and dimension in all you set your hands to do.
Much love to you!

Just a tree is known by its fruit, so the fruit is known by its seed. Remember, it is within the core nature of seed to increase. So, be careful to sow seeds worthy of the harvest you expect.
Your harvest will bear fruit with respect to the seed that bore it. To harvest love in your own life, sow love into the life of someoneelse. To harvest peace in your life, sow peace into the lives of others. Likewise, to reap a harvest of favor in your own life, business or ministry, then sow the same favor you expect into the life, ministry and business of someone else.
This year, be selective in the seed you sow because the seed you sow is the seed you will grow.
